For those unfamiliar with Karl's work, his love of music all began at a very early age, his father who was a drummer in his own right introduced Karl to the big band sound, and icons such as Buddy Rich and Gene Krupa. He became fascinated with their style, groove and perfected playing. When the Rock and Roll bug grabbed him legends such as John Bonham, Ian Paice and Keith Moon began melting into the groove.
Karl himself has played in several West Midlands bands Rock Icons Diamond Head and Rekuiem but to name a few. Karl self enrolled into The Drummer Collective NYC, this expanded his drumming technique and knowledge and opened his eyes, to the sheer raw talent a city like New York had to offer.
Over the years Karl has had the great honor of working with many varied artists in and around the NYC area and also personal hero "Jimmy Lea", from Slade of which he is a huge fan.
His love of music, and the creative process, has lead to this joint venture "Too Close For Missiles" with Dodge Turner. All the cumulative experiences have melded the sound that is uniquely “Missiles".
